Marauders fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 2-1 loss to Birch Run on Tuesday.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Birch Run pitchers struck out 11, while Marauders sat down two.

Marauders Overcomes Durand Varsity Softball In Face Of Early 6-Run Inning

Marauders Win: 15 - 11
Marauders weathered a push by Durand in the second inning where Marauders coughed up six runs, but Marauders still won 15-11 on Monday.
Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequenlty dealing with runners on base. Marauders collected 16 hits and Durand had 10.
Durand got things moving in the first inning. Bowen threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Durand.
Marauders pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Baiz singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs and an error scored one run for Marauders.
Marauders put up five runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to groundouts by Cuthbert and Bowen, doubles by Burt and Miller, and a walk by Baiz.
Bowen pitched Marauders to victory. The righthander went one and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on four hits and striking out two. Fry, Smith, and Burt all put in work in relief out of the bullpen, steering their team towards the victory.

It came down to the last play, but Marauders was on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Lakeville on Monday. The game was tied at seven with Lakeville batting in the bottom of the seventh when Plumb singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Ashland Particka collected four hits in defeat. Particka doubled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.

Even though Marauders gave up three runs in the third inning, they still defeated Alma 17-5 on Thursday. Bielga, Walkriston, and Munreno all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning for the Panthers.
Marauders got things moving in the first inning. Marauders scored on a stolen base during Jolene Nash's at bat. Then Nash singled, driving in one.
