It came down to the last play, but Marauders was on the wrong end of an 8-7 defeat to Lakeville on Monday. The game was tied at seven with Lakeville batting in the bottom of the seventh when Plumb singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. 

Ashland Particka collected four hits in defeat. Particka doubled in the first, singled in the third, doubled in the fourth, and singled in the sixth. 

Marauders fired up the offense in the first inning, when Particka doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. 

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Lakeville tied things up at seven. Thompson homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. 

Marauders tallied five runs in the fourth inning. Marauders batters contributing to the big inning included Karigann Cuthbert, Particka, Olivia Burt, and Kaitlyn Fry, all driving in runs in the frame. 

Burt took the loss for Marauders. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on 17 hits over six innings, striking out three and walking zero. 

Marauders tallied 14 hits. Particka, Fry, Jolene Nash, Maddisyn Miller, and Burt all managed multiple hits for Marauders. Particka went 4-for-4  at the plate to lead the Marauders in hits.
