The base paths were crowded today for both offenses in a high-scoring game where Marauders came out on top against Chesaning 16-11.
Marauders got on the board in the first inning. Maddisyn Miller drew a walk, scoring one run.
Marauders scored five runs in the seventh inning. Marauders batters contributing to the big inning included, Gracie Schultz, Paula Olger, and Karigann Cuthbert, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Olivia Burt pitched Marauders to victory. The pitcher surrendered 11 runs on 16 hits over seven innings, striking out nine.
Marauders saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Schultz, Zoe Baiz, and Cuthbert each had multiple hits for Marauders. Schultz went 3 for 4 at the plate to lead Marauders in hits.
