Marauders fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 2-1 loss to Perry Varsity Ramblers on Friday. Perry Varsity Ramblers took the lead on a single in the first inning. 

The pitching was strong on both sides. Perry Varsity Ramblers pitchers struck out 15, while Marauders sat down seven.

Perry Varsity Ramblers fired up the offense in the first inning. Rain Tharnish singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. 

Sara Austin was the winning pitcher for Perry. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing five hits and one run while striking out 15. 

Kaitlyn Fry took the loss for Marauders. The pitcher surrendered two runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out seven. 

Olivia Burt went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Marauders in hits. Marauders was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Maddisyn Miller had the most chances in the field with seven. 

Austin led Perry Varsity Ramblers with two hits in three at bats.
