Chesaning scored six runs in the second inning, which helped them defeat Ovid-Elsie 10-3 on Monday in the second game of the Double Header.
Ovid-Elsie got on the board in the top of the first inning after Katie Thornton singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored on one run.
Chesaing flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on three hits to take a 6-3 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Chesaing on a full count that drove in two.
Mercedes Grieder took the loss for O-E. The sophmore went six innings, allowing 10 runs (eight earned) on 11 hits, striking out nine and walking four.
Thornton led O-E with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day. Danica Bancroft, Thornton, Isabella Phillips, Olyvia Coon, and Haley McClung each collected on hit.
