In the season opener on Thursday night, OE and Laingsburg ended in a 1-1 draw. Despite playing shorthanded and many team members stepping up to play in unfamiliar positions, OE demonstrated resilience and determination. Seniors Ava Bates and Evalyn Cole led the effort, with Bates making 8 saves and Cole scoring OE's only goal with a striking shot from 30 yards out. The high work rates across the board were key to securing the draw. OE looks to build on this performance in their next game on Tuesday at Otisville LakeVille Memorial, followed by a match against Williamston on Friday.
