Marauders Lose: -
The Lady Marauders had their final league Jamboree of the season on October 12th, at Uncle Johns Cider Mill. Ovid Elsie won the with 6 girls in the top 9 positions. This gave the Ovid-Elsie women their first league title in school history. They were lead by Alexis Spitzley who was the individual league champion. She was followed by fellow first team all league runners, Piper White, Madison Thornton, Emily Muller, and Kaia Spiess. On the second team was Sam Grubaugh. Honorable mention was Rachel Spitzley.

The Varsity girls cross country team took 4th out of 21 teams at the Birch Run fall Invite. They were lead by freshman Piper White who took 8th (out of 110) in 22:02. She was followed by Emily Muller in 19th, Madison Thornton in 23rd, Kaia Spiess in 29th, Rachel Spitzley in 56th and Sam Grubaugh in 61st.

The Ovid Elsie Girls Cross country team competed at Chesaning for the first completed MMAC Jamobree. The girls took 1st out of the 8 league teams. They were lead by Alexis Spitzley who won the race in 21:10. She was followed by Piper White who took 3rd in 22:18. She was followed by Maidson Thornton (5th), Emily Muller (7th), Kaia Spiess (9th), and Sam Grubaugh (12th). Rachel Spitzley completed the top 7 for the Marauders in 20th.

The Lady Marauder's raced yesterday afternoon at their home invitaitonal. They took 3rd out of the 18 teams competing. They had 3 medalist on the day, lead by Alexis Spitzley who took 5th overall. She was followed by fellow medalsit Emily Muller and Piper White who placed 17th and 18th out of the 140 person field. The Marauder top 7 was rounded out by Madison Thornton in 27th, Sam Grubaugh in 31st, Rachel Spitzley in 42nd and Kaia Spiess in 51st.

The Ovid Elsie Girls cross country took 4th out of 15 teams this past Wednesday at the Saranac Cross Country Invite. They were lead by Alexis Spitzley who took 7th place in the 100 women field. She was followed by Piper White who recorded a personal best to finish 20th. Madison Thornton, Sam Grubaugh and Rachel Spitzley rounded out the scoring 5. Ella Powell, and Hannah Koutz rounded out the varsity 7.

In the hot and the humid farm fields of Webberville the Marauder girls team started their 2021 cross country season. The girls team took 3rd in the 9 team field, finishing behind D2 powerhouse Chelsea and D3 contender Leslie. The Marauders were lead by Alexis Spitzley, who took 3rd place out the 59 person field with a new personal best of 20:50. She was followed by freshmen Piper White, and Madison Thornton who were 11th and 13th respectively. The final medalist for the Lady Marauder's was Sam Grubaugh who finished in 20th. Freshman Hannah Koutz concluded the scoring 5 by finishing in 40th place. Ella Powell and Alyse Ladiski concluded the top 7.
