An early lead helped OE Marauders defeat Merrill 11-3 on Thursday. OE Marauders took the lead on a single in the second inning.
OE Marauders pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Alexis Hart singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
OE Marauders scored five runs in the seventh inning. Maddisyn Miller, Gracie Schultz, Jolene Nash, and Hart each had RBIs in the big inning.
Olivia Burt was the winning pitcher for OE Marauders. The righty surrendered three runs on eight hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one.
Wale took the loss for Merrill. The bulldog allowed 11 hits and 11 runs over seven innings, striking out seven.
OE Marauders smacked one home run on the day. Miller had a dinger in the seventh inning.
