OE Marauders defeated Napoleon 8-3 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. OE Marauders trailed 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning when Kaitlyn Fry doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.
Olivia Burt led the OE Marauders to victory in the pitcher's circle. Burt allowed 11 hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out two.
Burke took the loss for Napoleon. The hurler surrendered eight runs on 14 hits over seven innings, striking out 11 and walking zero.
OE Marauders tallied 14 hits in the game. Gracie Schultz, Skylar Bowen, Burt, Maddisyn Miller, and Ashland Particka each managed multiple hits for OE Marauders. Schultz went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead OE Marauders in hits. OE Marauders was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Zoe Baiz had the most chances in the field with five.
