Lance Wiktorowski showed a strong eye at the plate on Wednesday, as he walked three times while leading O-E to an 8-6 victory over Dansville.
The Marauders built a 6-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Dansville's charge. Dansville closed the gap by scoring on an error, a single, a single, a fielder's choice, and a triple.
O-E jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Jake Bowen singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
The Marauders added two runs in the second inning after Bowen singled.
Jake Bowen earned the win for Ovid-Elsie on the mound. The righty allowed four hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Caven Brooks collected the save.
Bowen went 2-for-3 on the day. Gage Wiktorowski and Bowen each collected two hits. Overall the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. G Wiktorowski, Corbyn Janes, and L Wiktorowski each stole multiple bases. Ovid- Elsie collected 9 stolen bases in game one.
O-E was down 3-10 in the game two when the game was called due to visibility.
