Ovid-Elsie fell behind 6-0 in the first inning and could not quite recover in game 2 vs Durand, eventually losing 6-8. O-E took an 8-1 deficit into the top of the 6th inning and was able to plate 2 runs to bring it to 8-3. Then- Marauders were able to score 3 more in the 7th, but ultimately came up short. That brings OE's record to 3-12 and 3-6 in league play.
The Marauders managed 6 hits in the game, led by Kayden Leslie who was 2-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI's. Braxton Stenger was also 2-3 with 2 runs scored.
Tyler Bancroft got the start on the mound, lasted only 1 inning, giving up 6 earned runs, 4 hits, 4 walks, and 2 strikouts. Ian Hehrer was a bright spot for the Marauders. Hehrer came in relief in the top of the 2nd inning and pitched the rest of the game. Hehrer only gave up 2 hits, 2 runs (0 earned), and struck out 5 over the 5 innings pitched.
