The game was a tale of two halves last night. The Lady Marauders came out flat in the first quarter and the New Lothrop Hornets made them pay for it by knocking down shots early and often as they raced out to a 12-3 first quarter lead. The Marauder defense settled in during the 2nd quarter and they were able to close the gap heading into half trailing 8-15. The 2nd half belonged to the Marauders from start to finish. In the 3rd quarter, Murphy Alexa and Cari Martinez carried the load offensively and helped the Marauders take a 20-16 lead into the 4th quarter. With the score 22-16, Martinez found Rylee Lewis who hit a deep three to help the Marauders pull away on the scoreboard and mentally. The Lady Marauders closed out the game by dismantling the Hornet press and getting a couple easy lay ups to fall and wrapped up a great season with the 32-22 victory. The Junior Varsity Lady Marauders finished the season 10-2 in conference play, and 17-3 Overall. Congratulations on a great season!
