Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Take Down Byron 44-34

The Junior Varsity Lady Marauders traveled to Byron and took down the eagles 44-34 in a tightly contested battle. The Marauder Defense led the way to help the Marauders to improve to 5-0 on the season. Early in the game the Marauders turned the ball over a few times that allowed Byron to keep the game close. The offense started clicking in the 2nd quarter and the Marauders built a halftime lead of 23-15. The Marauders came out strong in the 3rd quarter and continued to execute offensively to maintain their lead and hold off a surging Eagle team. The Marauders took a 36-28 lead into the 4th. In the 4th, the Marauders defense shined again and only allowed 6 points. The Marauders were able to hold on for the win to put their record at 5-0 for the first time in Coach Tokar's brief coaching stint with the junior varsity team. The girls travel to Chesaning to play and undefeated Indian team on Monday, December 16 at 5:00.
