To say that I’m ecstatic about this team’s performance would be an understatement. Although times may not have been what everyone hoped for, places matter much more in a conference meet. Last time, we came in 3^rd by a tiebreaker. This team had one focus going into this meet: 1 place. If anyone on this team stepped up and found a single place, we would take 2^nd and have a chance to have a top finish in the conference. Today, this team found 16 of those places. Led by great performances by Alexis Spitzley, Kaia Spiess, Samantha Grubaugh, and Abigail Prewitt as well as being highlighted by outstanding jumps in performance by Rachel Spitzley, Ella Powell, and Alyse Ladiski, this team has put themselves in the drivers seat for a top two finish in the conference this season. With only having 7 total athletes, this is an outstanding achievement.
