The Ovid-Elsie Lady Marauders improved to 3-0 on the year defeating Lansing Eastern 56-22. Caitlyn Walter led all scorers with 12 points including two 3-pointers, 2 assists and 3 steals. Braeden Tokar added 10 points and 5 rebounds while Braylon Byrnes added 9 points and 3 steals.
Ovid-Elsie was able to rack up 20 steals on the night and handed out 16 assists on 23 made baskets.
Rounding out the scoring for OE included 6 points from Ava Bates (5 rebounds), 5 points from Hailee Campbell, and Kiah Longoria, Evalyn Cole (4 assists), and Murphy Alexa with 4 points each and Izzy Loynes 2.
Ovid-Elsie will open up league play on Friday night as Durand will come to town. Varsity girls tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. followed by the Varsity boys.
