On Monday 12/19 we traveled to Durand in a tough league matchup. We started out in the first half really well, Braxton O'Bryant was playing like a tank grabbing rebounds and making bunnies. At halftime we trailed 24-27 but we were playing some solid defense. We came out pretty flat to start the 3rd quarter and were outscored 13-1 in the quarter. We rallied in the 4th quarter but ran out of gas. Our team has been battling sickness and we were still without a couple key guys, but they refuse to give up despite not being 100%. For me I;'m very proud of their effort and toughness, this is a speacial group of young men. We ended up coming up short and losing 41-53. For OE Brxton O'Bryant led us with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 steals, he also hit his first high school 3-pointer, Kaleb Veith had 12 points and 4 rebounds, Jake Bowen added 8 points and 9 rebounds, Clayton Fruchey added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, Hunter Lony came up and got to play in one quarter for us and added 2 points and 2 rebounds, Jayce Herblet added 1 point, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and played some tough defense for us. Clay Powell added 3 rebounds and played very well on the defensive end for us. We are off until after the New Year, we play on 1/4 at Ithaca in a non-conference battle and I hope by then we are all back to being healthy and get a much needed win.
