OE Marauders lost the lead late in a 13-8 defeat to Laingsburg on Wednesday. The game was tied at seven with Laingsburg batting in the top of the ninth when Bila singled on a 0-2 count, scoring three runs.

OE Marauders collected nine hits and Laingsburg had 12 in the high-scoring affair.

In the first inning, Laingsburg got their offense started. Cataline drove in two when Cataline doubled.

In the bottom of the seventh inning, OE Marauders tied things up at seven. OE Marauders scored one run when Skylar Bowen singled.

OE Marauders notched four runs in the fourth inning. The offensive onslaught by OE Marauders was led by Ashland Particka, Maddisyn Miller, and Kaitlyn Fry, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Merrell took the win for Laingsburg. The fireballer went three and a third innings, allowing six runs on four hits and striking out three. Bila and Cataline entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Cataline recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Laingsburg.

Olivia Burt took the loss for OE Marauders. The righthander allowed 12 hits and 12 runs over nine innings, striking out five.

OE Marauders had nine hits in the game. Jolene Nash and Allyson Pokorny each managed multiple hits for OE Marauders. Pokorny and Nash each collected two hits to lead OE Marauders.

Laingsburg scattered 12 hits in the game. Langdon, Bila, and Bila all managed multiple hits for Laingsburg.
