The Lady Marauders defense was the key in tonight's game as they pitched a shutout in the opening quarter to jump out to a 13-0 lead and never looked back. The Marauders did face a scare moments into the game as Hadley Bukantis went down with another ankle injury. She is just coming off a right ankle sprain, but now has hurt her left as well and was unable to enter back into the game. Hoping for good news from her on that.The Marauders continue to improve as their record is now 9-2 in league play and 13-2 overall. The Marauders were lead in scoring by Rylee Lewis and Kylee Milledge each with 11, Murphy Alexa had 9, Izzy Loynes and Cari Martinez had 4, while Carley Pontack, Katie Lorio and Kloe Bigelow chipped in 2 each. Annika Pupava played great defense and had several steals and assists, but fouled out late in the game. Next up, the Marauders travel to Birch Run to play their Junior Varsity on Tuesday, February 18, at 5:30.
