The Ovid-Elsie Lady Marauders traveled to Clinton Saturday for a non-conference tilt against the Redskins. OE (1-1) topped Clinton (0-3)57-36.
“Last night we had the ‘first game jitters’ but not today. Our defense was much better as was our offensive execution,” said Head Coach Ryan Cunningham. “We had a lot of kids step up and do some great things today.”
Caitlyn Walter paced the Marauders with 18 points including 3 triples while Lauren Barton dropped 15 points and 3 blocks. Kiah Longoria added 7 points and Madison Cunningham (4 rebounds) and Kaylee Hall (3 steals) each added 5 points. Allison Reppenhagen added 4 and Braylon Byrnes 3 to round out the scoring for the Marauders.
Kalista Bancroft led OE on the boards with 5.
The Lady Marauders will be back in action Tuesday night against Lansing Sexton. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
